My Nails Now

Left hand: skimmer on thumb and middle finger (Ignore the blue ink stain on my ring finger..)

Right hand: shimmer on ring finger and index finger. My ring figure is pictured at this angle to highlight where the triangular shaped shimmer area begins and ends.
I finally discovered what type of nail style I prefer when my nails are long this year. Mostly neutral looks. It is very easy for long nails to look gaudy(tasteless) or down right creepy. I counter this by filing my nails in a good shape and wearing more neutral/long nail mindful styles of nail polish. I really really like adding a little shimmer on a few randomly selected nails. It gives a top while still being low key.

My idea for this manicure came from a moveSlightly post

This manicure is flattering on both long and short nails (rare.) I altered it using the same type of (paper) tape and a different placement.

This lighting shows the detail better.

Essie "shine of the times" & Zoya "june" where used along with a top coat.

This color changes deptending on how the light hits it. Even though it doesn't really show in these pictures. Oh well...

Nails, Polish, and files!
Until next time.

Take Joy from the Simple Things

No matter how seemingly unimportant- enjoy the small things. Miss Piggy is a character who always seemed a little more amused with herself that her viewer. She laughed as much for her self as for us.

Don't look around for your humor or taste to be validated. Enjoying life is a choice.

Beauty Beliefs

elegance.

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and... I believe in miracles.

Video of the Day: Taren916 Addresses the Balance Between Vlogging/Blogging & Bussiness

Many implications...

There are faults on both sides.  By sides I mean the company side and the vlogger side.

I am this close to making a video about it.

Unparted Territory: Bangs & A Little Little Bun

After the being rained on.
Soo I participated in an oratory contest a couple of months ago...  That was given by a Black organization. Which means I needed to look especially "professional." At that time the hair at my temples was even shorter than it is now. Which means flat twisting that area was out of the question. Womp.
So I thought bangs! This is what happened.

Leaving the oratory contest. Hairline was still discolored.

See what rain will do? Only make twists curlier..

It did not look ideal in the front but I was still happy with it because it camouflaged
most of the hair loss.

Procedure:

At night: braid "bangs" to keep them stretched and sleep satin cap.
In the morning: Unbraid bangs, spray, and fluff.

Over All:

It's okayy

Elizabeth Monson at moveSlightly.com has an approach to nail art that does't involve usually involve neon. This is refreshing because many manicure tutorials are closer to gaudy than I like to be.... Anyway, before I start writing about my personal style, go check out her blog!
